Since I add hundreds of new readers to this newsletter every week (and since we all have ever shortening memory spans as adults) I know it's necessary to keep reminding all of us of the "basics".
Every online entrepreneur that I know of that is making a regular steady income month after month online has one thing in common.
They have an email mailing list.
They aren't just "lucky". They have a great list that they care for and GROW.
I don't care how great an idea you have, what business you are in, or how reliable you THINK your business idea is. You NEED TO BE BUILDING your email list if you want to have long term success online.
I'm talking about real people that WANT to hear from you...and email is THE best way to make that happen. I'm living proof and so are thousands of others that earn their keep solely online.

2. Exactly why you SHOULDN'T build a website

Do you feel like you've been studying Internet business for a LONG TIME but you still don't have much to show for it?
Is it possible that the ONLY missing piece for you is TRAFFIC?
Have you come face to face with the harsh truth that NO ONE OUT THERE CARES WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY, SELL, of even GIVE TO THEM?
Here's the big secret that separates the successful from the floundering.
Successful people have learned to GO where the TRAFFIC ALREADY IS!
Even the most successful online experts are COMPLETELY IGNORED a minimum of 95% of the time. If you are relying on your own little trickle of traffic to your little website then I promise you will NEVER MAKE IT.
Even the slowest fisherman in the Midwest knows, "Even the best bait ain't gonna work in an empty pond son!"
So, where are the fish in 2010?
I STILL love eBay.com (and yes, Amazon.com too). There are a lot of shoppers there ready to spend some cash.
That's why I love the concept behind OfflineBiz.com. I can work with businesses that ALREADY HAVE CUSTOMERS and help them grow their business by implementing simple strategies. I don't have as much success with 'start ups'. They don't have any 'fish' yet.
That's why I love doing JV's (joint ventures). When I find people that have a large mailing list and create a win/win arrangement we both share in the profits!
What do all of those ideas have in common?
I'm fishing WHERE THERE ARE ALREADY A BUNCH OF FISH.
Don't build a website until you HAVE TO. Anyone that tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something.
So, what's for sale here? Nothing. I'm just saving you a bunch of wasted time so you can get on to what really does work. Once you have some cash I know you'll still be listening...
